The area police are setting up roadblocks for the holidays ahead.

The Tennessee Patrol is setting up roadblocks in the Hardin/McNairy County area and this includes the Pickwick area. They are concentrating on vehicles being operated by intoxicated drivers, seat belts not being worn and Drivers License checks. The Department Of Safety is indicating that there will be extra officers on duty during the holiday weekend to deter unsafe practices on the roads. The roadblocks are a very effective means of enforcing the Tennessee statutes.
