Thanks To The People In My Life

I want to say pay-it-forward.jpgthanks to the folks who have made me a better person this year. First to Frances who was there in the hard times and always has been there. My love for you grows as each moment passes. To my son whose existence brightens every minute of my life. To my brother Jim who still says "Love you" after each telephone call...the feelings are mutual. To my family in Joliet, Illinois who still talk to me...it's so appreciated. To my cousin Ed and niece Amy who brought our family back together through the art of communication. AMAZING!

pickwick-landing_thumb.jpgKeep It Clean

What bothers me is the fact that the communities of Pickwick and Counce are two beautiful places to live and we have residents that will roll down a window and toss out their garbage. It takes 500 years for a styrofoam cup to disintegrate into the earth. This is a beautiful area and it takes all of us to keep it clean.

We're not just a summer area for customers, tourists, visitors etc.

As I sit in my houspickwickmemories_thumb.jpge I notice people driving about and see folks from other places visiting our area. You can tell that their just looking around because the erratic and slow driving. This happens every day of the week and sure more on Saturday and Sunday. This is a desirable place to live and the people from Nashville, Memphis and other places know that this is a nice place to settle down. To raise a family in Pickwick/Counce is a wise decision. Soon more and more people will see that.

Realtors see it and always have. This area is prime for growth and you sure can't beat the scenery. People are deciding that this is the place to live and commute great distances to work. They will drive an hour and more each way to keep there family in a safe place to live. How can you blame them?

What this beautiful area needs is a Chinese Restaurant. I mean a real Chinese place that has Chinese people owning it. We need to find out how we can solicit for a nice Chinese family to come to Pickwick/Counce and start up a nice restaurant. Right now you have to drive to Savannah and that isn't the best Chinese food.
