Dear Mitzy,
I am a well known person in Corinth, MS and have a major problem. I have been married to a woman who I will call Jane. We are married now for 35 years. Jane is a good wife and a great partner. We have never had a problem until just recently. We were to attend a banquet for a dear friend of ours and she was in the shower. Her cell phone rang and they left a voice message. We have an understanding that our cell phones are private. I told her that she had a call and a message was left on her phone. Having 3 children that live out of the house, I thought it could be important. She took the phone and went into the bathroom and closed the door. We always had a marriage of trust. The next day was a Sunday and I usually after church take my 16 year old son to the shooting range where we compete together in matches. Usually we are there for three hours and then go home and we all go out for dinner.

Dear Mitzy, I have a sister who has a very bad habit of showing up for dinner every single Sunday. It's so annoying that she does this. My husband is about ready to have her hi-jacked on her way over here. She knows that we eat around 2pm and she has a knack of showing up at 1:45. She always says that she didn't know we were ready to eat. Reluctantly, I always say to sit down and we get her a plate. She even has the nerve to say that the food is spicy or that the meat isn't cooked all the way. Sometimes my temper wants to go through the roof. I can feel my blood pressure going sky high. What can I do to get her to understand that she is a royal pain. My sister is 51 years old and can't cook anything. She once fixed us chili and the whole family was in the bathrooms for three days. Thank God we have three full baths in the house. My husband saw her coming up the walk with a pan in her hand and he broke out in a rash and had convulsions. We need your advice on this one. Please help us Mitzy. Very Upset in Stantonville |

Dear Mitzy, My wife and I have been married 26 years. She recently started to be stand- offish to me and I have been worried about this. I even have times when I think she is seeing someone else. I sat down with her last week and she and I talked about a few things. She said that we don't do anything together. That we go out for dinner once or twice a year. That we took a vacation together in 1989. She said she needs some life in her marriage. Mitzy, she only cooks 6 nights a week. There is one night a week that I bring burgers home so she doesn't have to cook. She has a nice life and I can't figure out why she's so unhappy. Please help me.
