Well here goes another day of drivin' this here school bus. You would think that they would let kids sleep in a bit so they would get there rest. Here it is dark outside and I'm gettin' ready to pick up kids standin' at bus stops. I always get out to the bus yard real early. I still didn't get up this early when I was haulin' logs. I was sittin' in my bus waitin' for the time to leave and I decided to get a few minutes of shut-eye. I drifted off to sleep and was dreamin' about this one Saturday mornin' back when my Mrs. was still alive.

I got up early, put on my long johns and got dressed real quiet-like so I wouldn't wake my wife up. I went to the kitchen and fixed a thermos of coffee and fixed a nice lunch for my day of fishin'. Then I took off for the garage got my tackle together and hooked up my boat. I was off for a day of fishin' as I drove my truck down the road.

Coming down the road it started to rain. I mean it was really pourin' down real good. Looked over to the west and it was really comin'up a cloud. Then right in the middle of this torrential downpour it started to sleet then turning to a snow. The wind was blowin' now over 50 mph.

Minutes later I turned the truck around and headed back to the house. I get everything in the garage and I started on to the house. I turned the TV on to get the weather and I find that the weather is going to be bad all day long. I quietly undress and slip back into bed.

I cuddle up gently to my wife's back and I whisper, "The weather out there is terrible". To which she replies sleepily, "Yeah, can you believe my stupid husband is out fishin' in this mess?"
